Historical notes

The bell tower was erected on the initiative of Cornelio Bentivoglio on the occasion of the restoration of the entire complex.
In 1616, the church ceased to be parochial and was entrusted to the Minor Franciscan Friars who completely rebuilt it between 1713 and 1738.
Of note is the deep presbytery, which was remodelled in 1765 along with the chancel, the main altar, and the stucco balustrade.
The exterior is in terracotta and has a simple façade with a tall mixtilinear pediment.
The interior is spacious, with a central plan with bevelled corners that form an octagon.
