Rolo
In Rolo, wood comes to life and is turned into embroidery: a place where the hands of artisans preserve the secret of marquetry, turning every piece of furniture into a masterpiece of history and beauty.
Rolo is located 31 km from Reggio Emilia and is close to the A22 Modena-Brennero motorway exit.
It is a rare gem for those who love the combination of history and craftsmanship of the highest quality.
Famous in Europe for the ancient art of marquetry, the town offers an elegant and peaceful atmosphere, ideal for those seeking a journey to discover the most authentic Emilia, rich in history, flavours and a slow pace of life.
The ideal time to visit is the third Sunday in June, during the festival of the Patron saint, San Zenone, when the village is decked out in festive attire.
Autumn is also perfect for enjoying the flavours of the land and exhibitions dedicated to craftsmanship.
