By train
Reggio Emilia has two main railway stations: Reggio Emilia FS Station, which connects to the nearby cities of Modena, Parma and Bologna, and AV Mediopadana High-Speed Station, from which only high-speed trains (Italo and Frecciarossa) depart.
The main station (FS) is located close to the city centre and is easily accessible on foot or by bus, whilst the high-speed station is situated approximately 4 km from the centre and can be reached by bus route 5 ('FS station' stop), the Minibù M, the Tper Reggio-Guastalla train (which connects it to the FS station) or by taxi.
By bus
Piazzale Europa Bus Station – C.I.M. – Piazzale Europa

A large free car park is located next to the bus station, allowing passengers to wait or be dropped off at the bus stops without any time restrictions.
The bus station is connected to the railway station building and to Piazzale Marconi (urban transport stop) via two pedestrian underpasses, equipped with lifts, one of which is also accessible to cyclists.
The new bus station is easily accessed from the Reggio Emilia ring road, using the exit near the airport and following Via dell’Aeronautica and Via Agosti.
All intercity bus routes terminating in Reggio Emilia and serving the provincial area depart from here.
