Route description

From the Oratory in San Bartolomeo, you proceed southward on the road that leads to Chiozza, beside the Rio Riazzone. Turn right into Via Madonna della Tosse, a narrow, busy road that winds around the fields alongside the canal. Once you get to Chiozzino (crossroads with a shrine) do not follow the signs to Scandiano, but go straight on along a dirt road until you reach a farmhouse with an inside court and an annexed oratory called Casa Tombe. Turn left here and on reaching a T-junction with Via Molino Poncino, turn right (turreted house in Villa Campobina). The dirt road ends at the back of a carwash from which you rejoin the main road. Turn right and then immediately left, going through the industrial estate of Scandiano. Riding alongside the cemetery, you reach the crossroads with the Scandiano-Arceto road, where you go straight on into a dirt road (Via Morsiani). Riding beside the canal again, the dirt road takes you past interesting farmhouses and huge oak-trees and comes out onto the road to Fellagara. Turning right, you rejoin the first trail in Fellegara.

From A1 motorway Reggio Emilia exit, take SS467 ring-road towards Scandiano-Sassuolo;
From Modena, take SS486 "Passo delle Radici" road towards Sassuolo, then at Veggia take SS467 road towards Scandiano-Reggio Emilia.

There are local trains for Reggio-Sassuolo which leave from Reggio Emilia Station
