Historical notes
Very little historical information is available about the church prior to the 16th century. The papal diploma of Eugene III of 1146 mentions the Chapel of Sant’Agata in the territory of the parish church of San Faustino. In the episcopal visitation of 1543, it seems to have been neglected, while in 1593 it appears along with the church of Stiolo. It was always dependent on the Parish of San Faustino. Also notable is the rural complex opposite the church which includes a large country house and the structure of an old cheese factory with a rectangular plan.
