The spirit of the Taverna-Ouzeri: the Greek tavern is the equivalent of the Italian inn: wooden tables and chairs, homemade wine in copper jugs, seasonal dishes.
In Greece, the menu is chosen directly in the kitchen ... it is like entering the host's home kitchen: this is why the treatment is really Greek!
The ouzeri are places similar to cafes where ouzo, the national liqueur, is served with mezedes (appetizers) such as: octopus, salads, sardines, fried zucchini, squid and other shellfish.
The ouzo, usually diluted with water and ice, is slowly sipped with mezedes.
Taverna-Ouzeri means fun, music and dance, lively discussions and sad confessions.
The Taverna-Ouzeri has a history that has lasted for over 2,500 years.

The typical "Greek" meal does Non include the first course.
The meal therefore starts with some appetizers called mezédes or orektiká.
This is followed by a main course that may be based on meat or fish, often cooked on the grill or griddle, or a salad and cheese.
Then are the desserts, which may be baked or spooned.
There is always the olive oil, usually of high quality.
