The place, former Carpentry of Officine Reggiane (Reggio Emilia Workshops) and then a fodder manufacturer, is now a space run by Fondazione Reggio Children focused on research, education and sustainability.

It is a space in dialogue with the neighborhood, with the town and with the world community. Fondazione Reggio Children will set here its research on high quality education, regeneration, social and environmental sustainability and creative learning.

It will be looking for interactions and convergences that will involve new partners. The first projects run by FRC that will take place here will be: the PER project (Play Explore Research), Scintillae-play and learning in the digital age with The LEGO Foundation, the PhD Reggio Childhood Studies with Desu-Unimore, Remida - The Creativ Recycling Center - the Reggio Emilia Nursery and Schools Institution project and Iren.
