The Town Hall of Rio Saliceto, a symbol of the administrative autonomy obtained in 1860, was inaugurated on October 23, 1889.

Initially housed in a few rooms of the rectory, the municipal headquarters moved to this elegant neoclassical building designed by the architect Giuseppe Aimi from Correggio.

The structure features a T-shaped plan, with a central body embellished by a tetrastyle Doric pronaos in exposed brick, resting on a base of faux rustication with small lunette openings.

Among the most refined details, the terracotta frieze stands out, enriched with medallions depicting the eight founders of the Municipality: Don Giovanni Battista Branchetti, Luigi Brunetti, Luigi Carbonieri, Fortunato Galantini, Luigi Nicolini, Sante Santachiara, Tomaso Terrachini, and Frumenzio Bernini.

These works were commissioned by Mayor Pier Giacinto Terrachini to his son Bruto.

The building, a witness to local history and culture, was completely restored in 1983–84, preserving its historical and architectural charm intact.
