Istituto Bellelli

The Istituto Bellelli is an elegant 19th-century palace that preserves precious traces of the past. Beneath the facade's portico, ogival arches emerge alongside fragments of tempera decorations dating back to the 15th century, brought to light thanks to recent restoration works.

The building served as a boys' orphanage, established through the generous bequest of Captain Bellelli and his sister Giuseppina, fulfilling a vital social role for many years. Today, following a careful recovery project, the palace houses educational institutions, continuing its legacy as a place dedicated to learning.

Of particular interest is the first-floor chapel, which preserves a fresco depicting Saint Anthony of Padua, painted in 1942 by the artist Franco Zanichelli, further enriching the artistic value of the building.
