Historical notes

Otello Sarzi bequeathed to the Reggio community a very rich collection of puppets and marionettes, art objects and inventions, the result of his inexhaustible imagination. In addition to the experimental and traditional theater, the museum set-up also offers scenes from shows inspired by the fairy tales that characterized the production of Otello Sarzi and his family.

On display are about a hundred works from the sixties to 2000 and depicts a unique, strong artist, sometimes biting, generous teacher for many pupils.

In order to suggest different tours to the public, the exhibition might change its staging according to themes and on the occasion of special events.
