Henghel Gualdi
His musical passion began very early; in fact, he already played at 10 in Correggio-based "Luigi Asioli" band, so as to receive a very good report card in solfège and instrument. He studied at Reggio Emilia-based "Achille Peri" Conservatory under the guide of Master Augusto Battaglia and received a diploma in clarinet. During World War II, under the influence of the American big bands, he approached jazz music and improvisation, adopting Glenn Miller and Tommy Dorsey's great orchestras as his models.
