The Riserva Naturale Orientata (Protected Nature Reserve) of the “Casse di Espansione del fiume Secchia” (Secchia River Floodplain), is located in the middle-to-high belt of the Po Valley between the provinces of Reggio Emilia and Modena, and spans across the municipalities of Rubiera, Campogalliano, and Modena. Set in a district with an extremely high density of human population and productive activities, this natural area truly represents a living and breathing lung.
