Urban Scenography: the Nineteenth Century between Art and Architecture

A guided tour of history, architecture and theatre in Reggio Emilia, from the ancient Palazzo del Monte to the "Piazza dei teatri" (Theatre Square), exploring the places and the protagonists that marked the evolution of scenic art and urban architecture in the nineteenth century.

The tour will finish in front of the Teatro Municipale Valli, in time for the start of the first guided tour shift for the "Teatri Aperti" (Open Theatres) initiative (start of internal visits at 5:30 PM and 6:00 PM).

Timetable

Meeting point: Reggio Emilia Welcome - Tourist Information and Reception Office (IAT-R), Via Farini, 1/A, 42121 Reggio Emilia.
Duration: 1h15 hours.
Guide: guided tours will be conducted in Italian by qualified tour guides. Audio receivers will not be used.
Participants: groups of up to 30 people.

The route is totally accessible to people with mobility difficulties and wheelchair users.

Adults €5.
Free for children under 12 and carers accompanying persons with disabilities.

Booking is recommended and appreciated.

Payment on site at the IAT-R Office in Via Farini 1/A in the days prior to the guided tour or on the day itself before the tour begins. Payment can be made in cash or by credit or debit card.
