Vasco Ascolini
Photographer Vasco Ascolini (Reggio Emilia, 1937-2026) started his activity in the 1960s. In the 1970s he long collaborated with Teatro Municipale Valli. Ascolini saw the world in black-and-white only.
The subjects of his snapshots are doors that take nowhere, in fact they usually close the view on themselves. This is the reason why in Ascolini's photos is the mystery of the closed door. Ascolini's works have been displayed in the most important museums of the world.
