Free car parks
Piazzale Europa CIM – Mobility Interchange Centre (east zone): a large car park situated just a short walk from Reggio Emilia railway station.
It is free of charge and always open, with around 850 parking spaces.
The CIM is also a major interchange point for inter-city bus routes.
The car park is connected to the station and Piazzale Marconi by a convenient cycle and pedestrian underpass, which provides access to the bus stops for services heading towards the city centre: lines 1, 2, 4, 9 and Minibus H, which stop on Viale 4 Novembre.
Line 5, meanwhile, connects the railway station with the AV Mediopadana high-speed rail station.

These car parks are all free of charge, always open, and are connected to the city centre by a shuttle bus service which is free for car park users, subject to collecting a ticket.
- Cecati (south): large car park near the historic centre.
Minibu G shuttle bus. - Ex-Polveriera (east): car park near the historic centre and the main railway station.
Minibu E shuttle bus. - Foro Boario (north-west): car park near the historic centre and the University.
Minibu G shuttle bus. - Piazzale Lari (northern area): car park at the Mapei Stadium Città del Tricolore.
The car park is connected to the city centre and Mediopadana high-speed railway station via the Minibu M. shuttle bus. - Le Querce (southern area): Minibu G.

- ACI car park in the historic centre, accessible without a ZTL (restricted traffic zone) permit.
After midnight, parking is free, but you must still collect a ticket at the entrance to allow the barrier to be raised.

Pay-and-display car park, entirely underground, always open, with 267 spaces.
Spread over 3 floors, the entire facility is monitored by a closed-circuit television system.
People with significantly reduced mobility who hold a valid disability parking permit may park free of charge in accordance with current regulations.
