Christmas and New Year's Eve in Reggio Emilia
Reggio Emilia - historic centre
Date
The historic centre of Reggio Emilia turns into a big stage filled with lights, music and Christmas atmosphere.
The heart of Reggio Emilia lights up with a warm, enchanting glow, preparing for the most anticipated celebration of the year - amidst sparkling lights, Christmas melodies and the fragrant atmosphere of winter.
During the holiday season, the streets and squares of the historic centre will be decked out in festive attire, while Piazza San Prospero will host the traditional Christmas market stalls, with their colours, scents and suggestions for both children and adults.
A rich calendar of events will accompany visitors in the Christmas season: concerts, choirs, activities for children and families, guided tours and moments of spirituality in the city’s churches. Plenty of opportunities to come together, share emotions and rediscover the beauty of Reggio Emilia in a truly special atmosphere.
The celebrations will continue until January 6, when the arrival of the Befana will mark the end of the holiday season, concluding the program with a final moment of joy, tradition and conviviality.
The schedule, to be confirmed, will be online at the Reggio Emilia Welcome website.
