Nomadi
Nomadi are one of the longest-standing and most iconic bands on the Italian music scene, with deep roots in the province of Reggio Emilia, where they debuted in 1963.
The band was born in Novellara following the meeting between Beppe Carletti and Augusto Daolio, the group’s founding member and iconic lead vocalist.
From the very beginning, Nomadi stood out for a musical style that blends pop and rock with intense lyrics, often addressing social, civil and humanitarian issues.
Success came in the 1960s with songs that have become iconic in Italian music, including Io vagabondo, Dio è morto (written by Francesco Guccini) and Noi non ci saremo.
Their songs tell stories of freedom, commitment and identity, becoming the soundtrack for entire generations.
Despite the passing of Augusto Daolio in 1992, the band continues to perform, keeping their musical and ideological legacy alive.
Even today, I Nomadi tour, constantly renewing their connection with their audience.
Their bond with Novellara remains very strong: every year, the town hosts the Nomadincontro, an event that celebrates the band’s history and attracts fans from all over Italy.
