In the heart of Rivalta, Le Ginestre Park is an expansive green space stretching along the valley of the Rio della Vasca, set in a picturesque landscape where urban living meets the countryside and the first foothills of Reggio Emilia.

Created and laid out in the early 1980s, the park is set across multiple levels, offering a pleasant spot for a walk, spending time outdoors, and immersing yourself in nature just a stone's throw from the residential area.
Lawns, trees, and hedges create a varied landscape that evolves with the changing seasons.

A green haven between nature and countryside

The park is characterised by wide open glades interspersed with clusters of trees and mixed shrub hedges.
Among the numerous species found here are horse chestnuts, wild cherries, Himalayan cedars, Persian silk trees, pedunculate oaks, and hackberries, alongside several standalone specimen trees that enrich the scenery.

Particularly noteworthy is the abundance of fruit trees, which enhance the natural environment and support local birdlife.
Indeed, this variety of trees, hedges, and grassy areas makes Parco Le Ginestre an ecologically valuable green space, providing habitats and resources for diverse animal species.

The park also features a football pitch, complementing its natural setting with facilities dedicated to sport and recreation.
