I Carpini Park
An urban park characterised by open lawns, mature trees, green footpaths, and a historic farm courtyard complex.
Created in the early 1980s, I Carpini Park is defined by alternating broad lawned areas and stands of mature trees.
To the west, the grounds border a private estate, while along its southern boundary, the park preserves a feature of particular local interest: a historic farm courtyard complex (corte colonica), standing as a physical testament to the traditional agricultural landscape that once defined this area.
The park is seamlessly connected to the pedestrian path network of the nearby Il Noce Nero Park, creating an integrated green corridor across the urban fabric.
A varied and structured botanical collection
The landscape comprises open lawns, standalone specimen trees, and numerous tree groves.
Broadleaf species include limes, sycamores, hornbeams, silver maples, black alders, poplars, London planes, and pedunculate oaks, growing alongside conifers such as Atlas cedars, Norway spruces, and incense cedars.
The collection is rounded off by several ornamental and exotic species, including Japanese pagoda trees, trees of heaven, and Judas trees.
