Created in the early 1980s, Della Pace Park – Oliver Tambo is located in the Canalina neighbourhood, nestled between Via Martiri della Bettola and Via Gandhi.
Of a generous size, it features broad open lawns alternating with large stands of mature trees, bordering a private estate of notable natural heritage.

The park offers a welcoming environment for walking and enjoying time outdoors, with direct access points from the surrounding residential buildings.
Across the grounds, standalone specimens, tree avenues, and tree clusters form a varied, layered green landscape.

Outdoor sport and fitness

One of the park’s defining features is its outdoor fitness area spanning approximately 80 sq m.
The facility is equipped with exercise bikes, an abdominal bench, and a multi-purpose calisthenics frame fitted with suspension trainers, gym rings, and pull-up bars for bodyweight training.

The equipment supports exercises across a range of difficulty levels and allows multiple users to train at the same time.
Each piece of equipment features a QR code linking to instructional guides, making the area easy to use even for newcomers to outdoor exercise.
Furthermore, the facilities are designed for inclusive use, accommodating people with disabilities.

A green haven rich in species

The park boasts a remarkably diverse collection of trees: species include hackberries, pedunculate oaks, elms, horse chestnuts, Eastern black walnuts, limes, ashes, hornbeams, white mulberries, poplars, and cherry trees.

Trees and shrubs are arranged in varied groves, avenues, and mixed clusters, creating a rich and structured scenery.
The intentional pairing of species with contrasting foliage adds dynamic splashes of colour throughout the seasons, highlighted in ornamental planting combinations.
