Rodano Park
Buco del Signore, Pappagnocca, Rosta Nuova and San Maurizio,
The Rodano Park, situated between the districts of Buco del Signore, Pappagnocca, Rosta Nuova and San Maurizio, encompasses sites of great natural, historical and cultural interest: the Mauriziano complex, the Acque Chiare area and the Site of Community Importance ‘Rio Rodano and Fontanili di Fogliano e Ariolo’, the San Lazzaro complex and Campovolo Park.
The Rodano Park stretches eastwards from the city of Reggio Emilia and is characterised by its distinctly wild nature and high ecological value, not least due to the presence of several springs, a Site of Community Importance (SCI) and an Ecological Rebalancing Area (ERA).
The park’s most iconic landmark is the Mauriziano, the former home of Ariosto and a symbol of the historical identity of the entire city of Reggio Emilia.
