In Boretto, in the house where he lived for the last ten years of his life, there is “Pietro Ghizzardi” Al Belvedere House Museum, a place dedicated to the art and memory of one of the most important italian painters and writers of 20th-century. The museum houses the most extensive collection of Ghizzardi’s works, including paintings, murals, sculptures, engravings, manuscripts and a valuable photographic and video archive that tells the story of life and career of the artist.
The House Museum was founded in 1992 on the initiative of Nives Pecchini Ghizzardi, the artist’s granddaughter, and preserves the atmosphere in which Pietro Ghizzardi created his works from the 1970s until his death in 1986. Each visit allows visitors to immerse themselves in the artist’s creative context, also discovering biographical materials, catalogues, press reviews and archival documents.Visits are free of charge but must be booked, ensuring an intimate and private experience.
Admission is open to small groups of visitors, with
guided tours available for groups of at least 15 people and school visits accompanied by teachers.
