San Martino in Rio
In the heart of San Martino in Rio, the Automobile Museum offers a unique journey through time amongst the vintage cars and historic vehicles that have shaped the evolution of transport.
The private collection, housed in a spacious 650-square-metre warehouse, comprises over forty cars, around ten motorbikes, vintage bicycles and artefacts linked to the world of motoring.

The collectors' passion is not limited to exhibition alone: thanks to the adjoining racing team (scuderia), many vehicles are masterfully restored and maintained, taking part in touring demonstrations that allow visitors to see genuine pieces of history on wheels in action.
The origins of the collection date back to 1956, when Domenico Gentili began gathering the first models from all over Italy.
Thanks to his friendship with Giulio Campari and Emilio Storchi Fermi, the collection found a home in San Martino in Rio.
In the 1960s, the first building dedicated as a museum was opened, transforming the town into one of the most important centres for national and European car collecting.
